With jawline or chin filler: removing fat under the chin while adding definition to the chin and jaw gives a clearer profile. Filler is usually done once swelling has settled.

Days 1–3: swelling, tightness and some bruising under the chin and along the jaw.

Week 1: wear the chin strap as advised. Most people return to light daily activities within a few days.

Weeks 2–3: most visible swelling has gone; most people are back to work and social life.

Months 2–3: the skin settles and the final contour becomes visible.

Swelling and bruising: common, and settle over a few weeks.

Uneven contour: small irregularities can happen and usually improve as the area settles.

Loose skin: if the skin doesn't tighten enough after the fat is removed. This is why skin quality is checked beforehand.
