Implantology is a specialized field of dentistry that involves replacing missing teeth with artificial roots (dental implants) placed into the jawbone. These implants act like natural tooth roots, providing strong support for crowns, bridges, or full-mouth prosthetics.
At Medicape Health, every implant treatment is planned using 3D imaging and digital guidance to ensure precision, safety, and optimal healing.
Implant treatments at Medicape Health offer exceptional durability and natural aesthetics—helping patients regain confidence, comfort, and full chewing function.
Dental implants are not a single appointment but a sequence, which is why planning at Medicape Health starts before you travel. You send a recent panoramic X-ray or CBCT scan together with photographs of your teeth, and our prosthodontist assesses what your jaw can support and how many treatment days you will need.
Most treatments involve two visits. During the first, the implants are placed; the healing phase that follows is spent at home. During the second, the final crowns, bridges or dentures are fitted. With All-on-4 and All-on-6, many patients receive a temporary fixed bridge within days of surgery, so you do not fly home without teeth.
An implant needs enough bone and healthy gum tissue around it. When a tooth has been missing for years, the jawbone at that site shrinks, and a bone graft or, in the upper jaw, a sinus lift may be required to create a stable foundation.
Gum health matters just as much. If there is recession or untreated periodontal disease, the gums are treated first — including a gum graft where the recession is advanced — before any implant is placed. These steps belong to our general dental treatments and they lengthen the plan, but they are what makes the result last.
Titanium is the most extensively documented implant material and integrates reliably with bone. For patients who prefer a metal-free option, zirconia implants are an alternative: they are white, kind to soft tissue, and worth considering when the gum is thin and a dark line at the neck of the tooth would show. Which material suits you depends on available bone, the position in the jaw and the planned restoration — a decision we make together once we have seen your scan.
Which of these apply to your case is set out in our guide to the factors behind dental implant treatment in Turkey.
After you return, you stay in contact with your patient coordinator. For the first weeks, a soft diet, thorough cleaning with interdental brushes and avoiding tobacco matter most — nicotine measurably disrupts healing. In the long run, implants cannot decay, but the gum around them can become inflamed, so routine check-ups and professional dental cleaning protect the investment.
