A mini tummy tuck lifts only skin below the navel and leaves the belly button in place, so it suits limited lower-abdominal laxity. A full tummy tuck treats the wall from the rib cage to the pubic bone and allows muscle repair along its whole length, which is what most patients need after pregnancy or major weight loss. The decision is made at examination, not from photographs.
