💬 Who is not a suitable candidate for BBL?
BBL needs enough donor fat to harvest, so very slim patients may not have sufficient fat tissue for a meaningful result. Uncontrolled chronic conditions, clotting disorders, an active infection, pregnancy or breastfeeding, and smoking that cannot be paused are also reasons a surgeon may postpone or decline the operation. Because this procedure carries a risk of fat entering a blood vessel (fat embolism), surgeons are deliberately strict about selection, and the fat is placed above the muscle layer in the subcutaneous tissue to keep that risk as low as possible. 💬 Do I have to wear a compression garment afterwards?
Yes. A compression garment is usually worn for about 6 to 8 weeks to help control swelling and support the treated areas. Your surgeon will tell you how many hours a day to wear it and when you can leave it off. Swelling and bruising are expected in the first weeks and subside gradually.

Light walking is encouraged from the first days because it supports circulation.
