Prof. Dr. Turgut Karaca – General Surgery Specialist
Born in Hatay in 1977, Prof. Dr. Turgut Karaca completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Hatay. He earned his medical doctorate with the education he received at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine between 1995-2001.
He started his general surgery specialization in 2002 at Ankara Numune Training and Research Hospital 4th Surgery Clinic and completed his specialist training in 2006. During his military service at Balıkesir Military Hospital, he also gained experience in the private sector.
After completing his compulsory service period at Mardin State Hospital, he worked at various public hospitals. He made significant contributions to the health infrastructure by establishing the Burn Treatment Unit in 2013 and the Wound Care Unit in 2014.
Dr. Karaca, who was awarded the title of Associate Professor in the field of General Surgery in 2016, still continues his professional work actively.
Known for his extensive clinical experience, ethical approach and patient-centered perspective, Prof. Dr. Turgut Karaca has focused particularly on the fields of obesity surgery and advanced laparoscopic surgery.
